I'm thankful for...
In the spirit of the holidays, specifically Thanksgiving, I wanted to share a bit about what I am most thankful for this year! I feel like so often in motherhood we get caught up in the chaos of our daily lives that we can easily lose sight of the beauty in each moment - the good, the tough, the meltdowns, all of it! Even in my toughest moments, like when Zion is pulling at me while I am trying to prep dinner screaming at the top of his lungs, the moment when I am able to pick him up and he holds on tight and we both breath a breath of relief, those are the little nuggets that I hold on to and love to look back on!
This year I am feeling extra thankful for all of the things that have happened this year for my little family - here are a few things that I am thankful for this year:
I am thankful that we were able to move in with my parents at the end of 2019 so that we were able to accomplish some of our goals for 2020. We were able to do far more than we imagined because of their support during the 9 months that we lived with them!
I am thankful to have celebrated six years with my husband, three years married. I am thankful for the growth we have experienced in the six years of our relationship and for new perspectives we have gained.
I am thankful for my husband who has gone above and beyond to ensure that our family is taken care of and thinks about long term investments instead of just what will benefit us immediately.
I am thankful for celebrating another year of life for Mason - he turned 4 this year! He had the best birthday despite covid, and we will remember it forever!
I am thankful that we were able to purchase my dream car this year! When we were car shopping earlier this summer, we were considering a completely different vehicle and when we walked onto the lot, Randal saw our car and God worked everything out in our favor, so much more than we could have imagined, and we walked away with my dream car. I felt not a single ounce of regret or wishing we would have looked more, everything felt so right, and we couldn’t be happier.
I am thankful for celebrating Zion’s first birthday - he is such a joy and the most perfect addition to our little family.
I am thankful for our families, both immediate and extended, for all of their support in everything that we have done and do. Our families never fail to give us the encouragement we need and pour out their love on us - they’re pretty amazing!
Lastly, I am thankful for this new journey my little family is on! We chose to move across the country and when in sight unseen. We had no idea what we would experience, and we are so so so grateful for this experience. It has opened our eyes to life in a different place, has given us the opportunity to widen our perspective on life, and has also helped us to discuss and really figure out what we desire for our family.
There are so many more things, but this list would never end! I cannot wait to share some exciting things that will be happening next year, and am looking forward to what God has in store for us that we have no idea about!
I hope and pray that you all have a wonderful holiday season! Enjoy your families, hold your babies tight, and give yourself some extra love - treat yourself!
Happy Holidays :)
